Hello, I’m Mel Parker, the creator of Vibrant Botanicals, founded in 2012 to showcase my distinctive fine art photography of Australian wildflowers, garden and house plants. My passion for plants and nature, nurtured from an early age, is reflected in my work, which emphasizes the fine details of plants, often enlarged many times their natural size.

I hold an Advanced Diploma of Photography from TAFE WA, where I refined my skills and developed my unique approach to macro photography. Using a Canon 5D full-frame camera paired with a 100mm macro lens, I rely on natural light to capture the intricate beauty of Australian flora in its native bush setting.

Vibrant Botanicals offers a curated collection of high-quality macro photographic prints, greeting cards, and handmade jewellery that I craft using stainless steel, brass, silver-plated brass, glass, and resin. The earrings, feature niobium ear wires—a nickel-free, hypoallergenic precious metal, making them both beautiful and safe for sensitive skin.
